So, this costume comes with the brown “armor” with the attached red cape, a white tunic for underneath which is kind of like a satin/silky sleep shirt for girls, two bicep circlets, two forearm bands, a headband, and 2 shin covers. For reference: I am 5’9 and 170 lbs with an average-athletic build. I am not a muscle-bound gym rat, nor am I overweight. I have a solid frame with decent muscle mass. i bought the Medium and the fit of the tunic and armor pieces is just right.Issues: The image makes it look like the front of the brown armor is a solid piece. It isn’t. It’s more like a set of ribbons that hang down so when you move they swing and the white tunic underneath shows through. Also, the armor is only for the front. The only thing covering your back end is the tunic and the cape. The tunic ties in the back with a strip of fabric which seems like it will work well enough. The bicep circlets are velcro fastened, so you have to awkwardly set them over your biceps. They then either slip down because you flexed when you attached them or they constrict your arm when you do end up flexing. There is no elastic to allow these to flex over your biceps as you move, it seems like i will not be able to use these as they will not stay in place. The bands for the forearms ARE elastic and can be pulled to stay in place, but for my arms the taper is off and when the front part (towards the hand) is snug and in place, the back part (towards the elbow) is loose (oh well, it’ll do). The headband looks ok, but i never intended to wear it. The leg pieces are also velcro fastened in 4 bands around the calf. i tried them on and it looks like they will stay in place. I have an average calf size but the bands are cut funny so that some are left with too much excess hanging off when fastened tightly, I will probably just use clear tape to keep them pinned down. All in all, it’ll work, but wasn’t exactly what i was hoping for, but i wasn’t going to spend $150 on something more elaborate . . .

This costume was great as far as Halloween costumes go! We bought this after reading the other reviews. It doesn’t get 5 stars because one of the studs on the arm band came off first thing, but hopefully we can put it back on. Also, the velcro on the leg straps should be longer to accommodate a variety of calf sizes so some of the material doesn’t stick out. That’s probably just my personal criteria (I can’t give five stars to something that isn’t flawless). If I could give it 4.5 stars, I would. But for $23.03, you really can’t beat this costume. It needed a little ironing, but was otherwise ready to go out of the package. We bought “Medieval Swords Halloween Toy Weapons” to go the the costume, and it worked fine as well.He is 5’10” and 180 pounds and this fit a little loose (M); looks like it could easily accommodate someone over 200 pounds.I bought the LLC Grecian Goddess Dress, White/Gold, Large, for me, and we were a handsome couple! 🙂

Husband wore this for Halloween. He says 4.5 stars would be more accurate – the arm bands and head band were pretty cheesy. The rest of the costume looked great. He has a bit of a belly, and it fit well and didn’t look weird like some costumes can. Expect to wear something under it unless you enjoy a breeze. It really is like a huge white shirt with a brown apron and attached cape. He also bought the “Heavy Duty Plastic ROMAN LEG GUARDS gladiator costume,” “300 The Movie, Spartan Shield, 17″ Diameter,” and “Rubies Long Roman Costume Sword.” They were all pretty good, too. FYI, this costume doesn’t include a sword and those aren’t sandals, just leg wraps, so prepare to find those separately. He wore some Army green KEENS and they looked like part of the costume.(P.S. It was lucky I’d had a different kind of toga costume once in the past, because the white toga part of this is as thin as kleenix and hung down to my feet. (I’m 5’11.) After I cut it off to the length shown in the picture, when I raised my arms, it came all the way up to my butt. I substituted the other white toga, which was already hemmed to the right length, and after that, this was a great costume.I also had to cut off the cheapo vinyl strips over the front of the legs to the length shown, and then heat them with a hair dryer to get them to hang straight. They all hung down to the center instead of as shown, until I got out my stapler, and then they were fine. I wore it with a pair of rope sandals. I had a sword but discarded it right away as unnecessary and a pain to carry around.I got a zillion complements and everybody was taking my picture. It was so comfortable I was joking all night that men should always wear skirts for dancing.

I wear an XL and bought the XL. I felt it was a little large for me. I’m 6 foot tall and about 190. Total Dad Bod, I have skinny arms though, so the cuffs were oversized, and the arm bands just made my arms look smaller. The leg wraps stayed pretty well and didn’t try to work around my leg too much as I had feared they would.I know that sounds like a lot of negative, but that is about it. After that I would say that this was a very successful Halloween costume. I looked pretty good in it, and looked like I spent more than I actually did on it. At least when comparing to what my friends spent on their costumes, this was a great buy and well worth the money. Make sure you get some brown sandals though, it does look pretty odd if you don’t have the footwear to match. If you can find some like the model has you’ll be set.

For a last minute halloween costume, it does the trick. Happy that it comes with a good amount of accessories to really make the look. This particular costume is a bit on the cheaper end of things but looks very decent. Bought a medium for 6’2 guy and fit great.

It worked perfectly for our Halloween Party.
