Scarlett –
My sister decided to be a red coat for this upcoming Halloween, so we bought everything to ready for it. This costume is the only one in the market that doesn’t look filmsy and the x-large fits an average 15-year old enough. Though I did went with the size (it said that the large takes up to 14) it was still a little snug on my sister that is in the said size. The costume can be ironed but very delicately. Let the kid wear a white undershirt so even if the vest part of the costume goes up, it’ll look like they have uniform in the inside too. Pick from stapling or double siding tape the belt because it tends to fall (hide the stapler under the buckle).Be mindful though, this costume does not include the tricorn hat (there are good ones out there, don’t worry), pants (beige pants are hard to find and even rarer to wear, so find something fitting and cheap), scabbard (if that’s your thing, but note that if your child is wearing this to school? It’s a bad idea. School’s are strict to sharp-looking even fake objects and especially to fake guns. It’s better to just buy a toy horse with this costume), and last boots (it’s always a great way to save money and use the boot cover that comes with the package but it’s more realistic if you find a real riding or just normal boots)Remember that half of the work is the costume and the other half is making sure it works! So try to see if everything works together while sitting, walking, etc and if there are any problems you can still resolve it before the day Halloween comes. So, goodluck and have fun!

This was the best costume I came across when searching for a Halloween costume for a 10 year old, however only two things set it back from achieving that 5-star rating.1. The costume, although it came with a almost full set of attire, lacked some details. For example, the buttons on the coat were nice, but they were drawn on the costume. I would appreciate physical buttons more, but this isn’t a major concern.2. The costume unfortunately was rather itchy for my son, and he found it troublesome to keep on the white band, and we had to tape it very well or it would fall off.3. The hat, sword, wig, boots, and pants are not included. Although it does come with shoe toppers to make the shoes you have look like boots. I was a little disappointed that at least some of these items were not included.Overall, this is a very nice costume and is a good choice for Halloween! It is definitely a good choice if you are looking for a redcoat/soldier costume!

Excellent costume. I wish I could show you all how not happy this kid is in the costume for his school event, angry does not cover it. Costume is well made, perfect, and cute, my son is not impressed. It does not come with pants or a hat, get a pair of girls leggings, it will work perfectly, don’t tell your boy he’s in “girl” leggings. If I would have made it the pattern would cost $12, then there’s the cost of buttons and material, so this is a steal.

We needed a British soldier costume for school and this was perfect! Lots of detail.

My grandson LOVES this costume. He is 5 and loves playing the parts of Revolutionary War. had to get a British flag for his “fort” when he’s in uniform and being a red coat.

The actual costume was made very well. Unfortunately I had to buy the hat and sword separately.

It’s good enough for a single use. The pieces that are meant to look like boots are somewhat flimsy.
