   I got the California Costumes Men’s Jesus Wig and Beard for a low-budget film project. And it worked, the wig itself is fairly durable, but the color is not as advertised. It is more of a chocolate-brown color, and, if not properly cared for, will become very messy and matted. The beard is held on by elastic bands that wrap around the ears., which makes it uncomfortable to wear for long periods of time. I’ve owned this product for over two years now, and it still looks good. It is a relatively good product, and pretty good for the price.

   I am pretty annoyed because I needed 2 of these for my son’s play. I purchased a child’s one which was a dark brown and this one, in small. This being the adult version was more expensive but I needed a different color so ordered. Both packages arrived … they were the exact same! Same packaging same color same size… identical! I specifically paid more money on this one to get the different color. Over all it’s a nice wig. The “beard” is a bit large but we modified it to work for the kids.

   I work in theater and know a good wig when I see one. This is not a good wig. Good wigs cost money. However, for the price it’s perfect for a Halloween costume. I can’t speak to the beard; I have a real one on my face and did not need it. I wore this wig on Halloween for trick-or-treating (with my kids, don’t @ me) and it stayed in place on a windy night and was pretty comfortable as far as wigs go.The product shot looks light brown, but my wig looked darker with more black/red undertones.For a few dollars this works well for a costume. However, if you want to play Jesus in your church’s passion play and be taken seriously, then pay for a good wig.

   This is the PERFECT wig for my Halloween costume. I was actually really surprised it arrived in great condition as I have had bad luck in the past work cheap wigs getting totally destroyed in the mail. It arrived covered in a hair net not tangled at all. I bought a bald cap separately because I have very long hair but I’m not sure you would need it for shorter hair. The only negative is the beard is a bit big I may need to find a way to tighten it so it doesn’t droop.

   Purchased this wig for a Halloween costume, it wasn’t as red as it is in the pictures which was good for me! Comfortable and fit well!

   This is actually a gorgeous, shiny, voluminous sassy wig that even comes close to fitting my 22.5 inch head! I’ll need to snip it a little so that it’s not squeezing my dome and it will need a bit of a hair cut to go with my costume (I’m needing more of a touching the collar bones length) but this will definitely do the job. It’s kind of a reddish light brown in color
