   I purchased this particular costume partly based on the great reviews it got. And the reviews were right. This costume is made from good material & really looks authentic. The pompon are actually the same quality as the real thing that I used as a cheerleader in high school! I ordered the large for my 8 year old because I figured it was better to get it too large & be able to pin it than get it too small & have to return it & risk not getting another size in time. She typically wear a size 7-8 in girls & the costume was large on her, but we were able to shut knot the shirt & skirt in the back & it ended up looking great. As you can see in the photo, she looks like the real thing. Thumbs up all around. Just an FYI though, bloomers are NOT included with the costume, so find some little shorts to wear underneath.

   I was VERY pleased with the quality and price of these cheeeading costumes. I just shopped the local Halloween store and I am pretty sure they had this exact costume for $10 MORE. Costume is complete with Pom poms. The fabric looks like it is made from same stuff real cheerleading uniforms are made from (not cheap polyester that you see on other Halloween costumes). I bought two XS for my 4 and 6 year old. My four year old is inbetween a size 4 and a 5 and my 6 year old is in between a size 5 and a 6 and they were a perfect fit for both. I imagine we will get at least another year of dress up time with these, long after Halloween is done. Thanks for a great product at a great price.

   This pic is how it fit straight out of the package before I did alterations. It looks exactly like what you see online. I gave four stars because I had sew a couple inches in the waistline. And take in an inch on both sides of the shirt. My granddaughter wears a size 8(M) but I ordered a large in case it ran small…MY MISTAKE, it’s actually true to size. My granddaughter loved it so much; She wore it to a costume party the weekend before Halloween, and for trick or treat.

   Great costume for the price. The fabric is a bit thin and a little itchy, but she will be most likely be wearing long sleeves and leggings underneath on Halloween.The one thing I would change is that the blue of the USA is more of a turquoise and the trim is royal blue. They match in the ad pictures but not on the one we received.For reference, DD is 8, approx 50lbs, and 51 inches tall and is wearing the Small.
