Had fun dressing up as Martha Washington this year! Nice quality dress and went by the size chart for a perfect fit. I wore two inch heels and dress still went to the floor.

Updated review after receiving replacement:Third order worked perfectly to portray Martha Washington for a Constitution Day event. Note that neither the ruffled cap and red ribbons (Etsy), modesty cloth (antique store), petticoat (Etsy), rump roll, hip pads, nor ringlets (all three Amazon) shown in my photo came with the dress but a sheer cap and wrap were included. I also added the hip pads, rump roll, and hat (reviewed separately). I had to boil the clip-in ringlets on perm rods for 25 seconds to curl them.Large perfectly fit my 32” waist. Shoulders were still loose on my 39” bust but tucking in a colonial modesty cloth solved that problem. Length just cleared the floor without a petticoat.Original review:Unfortunately this item appeared to have been used and returned with a prominent brown stain on the ivory skirt front and a hole ineach sleeve on the front. Returned for a replacement.
