   I will be honest. I’ve had some horrible, cheap costumes in the past. This isn’t one of them. For a store bought Halloween costume, California Costumes makes pretty decent quality items. And unlike a lot of other costume makers out there, they include the accessories!Now, for this costume, you get the velvety dress with attached arm sleeves and collar, a separate belt and the crown. The dress itself is very nice. Feels great against the skin. I only have two quarrels with it. 1) The lace is a pale blue that doesn’t match the rest of the outfit (easily fixable), and 2) The collar is mostly made of foam that warped a little in the bag/shipping (fixable). Neither issue is a big one, but worth noting. The ribbon is easily swapped for one that is more teal in color, and the foam can be coaxed back into it’s appropriate position with a little time (so don’t try to open the costume Halloween night and think you’ll just be able to throw it on).The belt is not a full belt, but one that hooks via lobster claws onto either side of the dress’s built-in loops. I’m buying some gold chain to attach to the ends, but others might feel that it’s fine as is.The crown looks to be made of rubber or silicon. It’s painted, with the gem glued on the front. The back half is a black elastic cord. It looks super cheap until you put it on. Doesn’t look half bad once it’s on, though.I gave 4 stars instead of 5 just because there are still some tweaks I’ll need to do (i.e., changing out the ribbon, buying the extra chain, flattening out the collar) to make it great, but it’s a pretty good start. If I could give 4.5 instead of 4, I would have.

   As soon as I saw it, this costume was a must have for me. A reviewer named Koko added The Queen Revenna Crown headpiece, which gave it. . .BAM!!!!! So I ordered that too. When my dress arrived I tried it on immediately and it fits me so much better than expected. Hugs the body in all the right places. . . . Cons: I had to tack down the right finger loop, which was hanging by a thread, and while at it reinforced the left one The foam collar did get mashed out of shape on one side, (due to shipping), but I’ve got time. If it doesn’t smooth out, I am going to tack some boning to the underside to make it stand nicely. The ‘chaining’ on the Ravenna headpiece is silver toned, the belt on the dress is gold toned, so I dug in my craft box and found some metallic spray . . . voila matchy. But if you don’t care to customize to your liking it’s okay. These minor issues are all fixable so I’m not pressed. I’m about a week away from my event, but so excited to rock the “L” out of this costume. Thanks Koko for the idea!!

   I won 2nd place in a costume contest with this costume, got tons of complements, it flattered my larger hourglass figure. And I’m 5’5″” and 170 pounds, size 12. I was worried about my large arms and bust so got an XL but probably could have worn an L and it would have fit a little more snugly. The material is black crushed velvet, stretchy and figure forming. The front is very low but you can cover up by making the ribbon crisscross more tightly or wear a tank underneath if you don’t want it to be more revealing. The hem is a zig zag cut which was nice, it was to the floor and not dragging with a low heeled boot. The headpiece is rubber on a black band that velcros in the back and I liked it, but I bought the Snow White Ravenna crown to make it more evil and dramatic. I loved how the aqua blue ribbon brought out the blue and green shimmer in the irredescant pieces on the sleeves and collar, you have to see it in person. No, the collar would not stand up, so a friend safety pinned the collar’s edge on each side and it stayed up the whole night. The belt is obviously intended to hook accross the front with a hook on each side. Black and blue eye makeup and a gold collar necklace worked well as accents. It was shipped in a TINY package, so I had very carefully ironed the collar with spray starch to flatten the bend marks and hung it for a couple days. So it had a few small quirks that were easily fixed and for the price and look I’m giving it a five.

   Loved this costume! The dress was a bit too short for my liking (by about 3 inches – but I was in high heels) and the sleeves were also a bit short – they pulled with the finger ring around the middle finger.I ordered a small and am 5’7″ and weigh 125 lbs, 34 DD.But it stretched and that made it totally fine. The collar stood up great. Would recommend. Got many compliments!It is low cut and a bit revealing but that was fine for me. 🙂 You could wear a black cami under it if you felt it to be too low cut.THe headband was too tight and hurt my head – but I still wore it because it really completes the costume. I was wearing a full wig so maybe that was in part the cause.Overall, would highly recommend!

   After trying out many Halloween Customes I finally found this one and I love it!!! I used it as The Evil Queen adding a different Crown and an red Apple. Very comfortable to walk and dance. 100% recommended!

   Our team wanted to be Disney villains and this costume was perfect for the Queen Marisa, It was a complete success and fit perfect. I’m 5’7 and it hit the floor for me as well. The material gave plenty of room and my collar stayed up!
