   I’m actually more of a size 16 but took the chance and ordered the XL which says its a size 12/14. I did this because everyone was saying the chest area is to big. It does fit, but a word of warning, the waist line (where the belt goes into a little v) does not have any give to it. So my only issue was getting that over my breasts to pull it down all the way. Also, the chest area isn’t so much that it’s big, it’s that the neck line is weird. To make the neckline lay correctly you have to pull it down some which ends up making chest area seem big. For me, I’m on the bigger side in the chest area and it fits me fine, but to get the neck line to not look weird (and to go straight up rather than fall down my shoulders) I have to pull it down which just exposes more cleavage and chest.Also, I did cut out the shoulder padding as well. It is NOT like a traditional shoulder pad, it is instead like a plastic mesh thats just meant to cause the shoulders to poof up. It is VERY scratchy and hurts if worn longer than a few minutes. Fairly easy to cut out. If you wear a shirt underneath that covers your shoulders you probably wouldn’t have to cut them out to be honest.Also, I’m apple shaped so typically i need to wear a-line dresses to make it flattering. This dress actually does well with that. The way that the front is done with the ribbons holding the dress up actually has a slimming affect and I’m pleasantly surprised with that.Only giving four stars because of the shoulder pads thing. If they did an actual fabric material then it would work just as effectively and wouldn’t hurt. Even before I cut out the pads they weren’t even adding much to the shoulders. Would have given five stars if the shoulder pads either weren’t included or didn’t hurt.

   This dress is beautiful and for under 30 dollars it’s a great bargain. First, I’m a plus size girl, normally a size 16 but I decided to roll the dice and order an XL anyway since it was a dress and may fit. The chest is large as other reviews said (I’m not busty at all) but i found I could just move the sleeves a bit more off the shoulder and the chest fit alright. The waist is not stretchy so it was a bit tight as were the sleeves. If you are normally bigger than a 16 and very busty, this dress will probably not fit.Like pretty much everyone else, I cut that scratchy shoulder stuffing out immediately. The sleeves look great without it and it is harsh on the skin, not worth keeping it. Easy to remove. The dress also arrives somewhat wrinkled due to being packed in a plastic bag. I ironed it a bit and that helped. The fabric is thin enough that I wasn’t too hot all day at the Renaissance Festival. Did not show sweat stains despite wearing it for hours outside and fabric moves nicely, does not catch or snag really. The details on this dress are what makes it worthwhile, the sleeves are gorgeous and fun. The way the dress hangs in the front is so unique, not many other costume dresses have that feature. Also, I found the tiara (though cheapy on an elastic band) is actually pretty and easy to wear. Would absolutely recommend this costume, wish they would make a plus sized version!

   This dress is actually really cute… only downside is it’s definitely meant for someone with greater distance between their shoulders and chest than me (I’m only 5’0”). The neckline has so much gap to it, it’s basically off shoulder. Also not great if your arms are a little thicker. The elastic in the upper arm is killing me. Other than that, it’s super flattering. Curse my lack of chest space! :PSize XL, height 5’0”, weight 200lbs

   This is a super cute option for the Renaissance Festival. But there are some things you should know when ordering.This runs smaaallll! I sized up to a medium and it’s still pretty tight in some spots, like the elastic at the upper arms, and the waist is just big enough for me I’m usually a size 4/27 these days. I’d highly recommend sizing up two sizes. Especially since I here’s no zipper and it is a challenge to put on. The fabric is thin and there is no stretch. But once it’s on, it’s comfortable enough, though the shoulders are a bit scratchy. The length is great. I’m 5’4” and this will be perfect with some small heels. The chest is a great fit for me at a 34DD.Quality is fine for a costume, but it’s not impressive.

   Overall the fit was good. The arms were a little tighter but not unbearable. Also the neckline is slightly lower/wider than most shirts but overall was perfect to wear one night for Halloween. The crown that comes with it was super comfortable on.

   I wore this costume to a Renaissance fair. The fit was flattering and it was good quality. The crown that it comes with is not good quality, however. I recommend throwing it in the trash and purchasing a separate crown to complete the look. I recommend this product.

   I’m planning for a Renaissance Fair this coming May and I absolutely love this dress.I do need to do some alterations in the shoulder area, and frankly I’m rather intimidated by the thought. When I tried on the dress, it fit perfectly except for the shoulders. I pinned up the excess that needed to be taken in. This is almost 1.5” when allowing for the seam. The fit is perfect after pinning the shoulders. I may opt to have a seamstress do the alternations, it’s just that I dislike having to add more to the cost of this dress, which honestly is a very reasonable price. Plus, if I do the alterations I could lose the dress altogether. Sounds like I’ve made my decision!I might add that I’m 5’ 2” and weigh 155 lbs. so you should take this into consideration when choosing your size.Highly recommended!
