   There were many problems with this:1. As you can see from the pic, the beard does not cover an adult an adult face. It is probably intended for a child.2. Along the same line, the elastic was stretched to it’s maximum. It was so tight it hurt after a little bit.3. The mustache was way too bushy… it poked into my nostrils.4. The mouth opening between the mustache and beard was so small you can’t eat, drink, or even talk. You might be able to drink through a straw.When I received the beard (on time delivery), I did not have time to return it and order something else. So…A) I cut the elastic band in the back, and spliced (sewed) in some elastic from a pair of underwear. (I cut up a pair of my wife’s perfectly good undies.)B) I trimmed hair from the beard and glued it to the exposed elastic along the side of my face.C) I cut off all of the mustache and trimmed away the cloth holding it together. Then I used some spirit glue to re-create the mustache and glue it to my upper lip.In the end and with enough effort, you can make this work. Therefore, I gave 2 stars rather than 1. But it took literally hours of work… and made a big mess to clean up.If I had known any of this I would not have purchased this item. Of course since I modified it, I can’t return it.

   I purchased this beard in lieu of showing up to a costume contest to knock the socks off of folks, of how I randomly grew a beard spontaneously in 10 minutes. Needless to say I almost won the contest with the good looking beard.However, I will say it was hard to keep the beard on for longer durations of time. I kept it on for a max of 30 minutes before my lip/neck started to become really itchy.Also, side note.. it isn’t the easiest to speak mouthful sentences when wearing the beard. Let alone eat food, just forget it. Overall, for the money though I really can’t complain. It was well packaged! Good purchase.

   Our band wanted to have a little more impact on the audience when playing ZZ Top songs. It’s a cheap prop and conveys the image of the 80’s or 90’s rocker without spending a lot of money. To look realistic one must spend more money.
