This costume is absolutely hilarious. I love it! Honestly, it’s exactly what I wanted. It arrived a day earlier than expected, and in plenty of time for an insane Halloween party next week (i’m in college). I’m greek, with a decent athletic-ish physique (i’m a musician…definitely no body builder but I’m comfortable wearing this costume without any worries about looking like i don’t belong in it…I’d say I’m comprable to the guy modeling the costume, if not a little better..something to consider if you’re buying it…it’s very revealing!) and I have a full beard so I instantly thought of being Leonidas for Halloween and this is prime choice for costume. As I tried it on today, it fit perfectly. I ordered a large even though according to the Amazon sizing chart I should’ve been a medium…that’s thanks to a tip from another reviewer to order one size larger than you are. Definitely do that.As I was trying it on piece by piece i couldn’t help but just crack up…it’s hilarious to put on the skirt and the wrist bands, and finally the cape.As it is stated, it does not come with the sword & shield pictured, nor the sandals. It is supposed to come with the Helmet I suppose…but mine did not!!! This is the one complaint I have and the only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5.Honestly I don’t care much because I wasn’t going to wear the mask anyway..gotta show off that beard to truly be Leonidas! But it is a drag simply because I thought I was paying for it.Another reviewer didn’t receive the gold medallion that goes on the cape. I’ve got that but not the mask..it seems like this costume is very inconsistent in missing pieces. I’m just glad it’s not missing any major clothing pieces (although I guess one might consider the helmet a major piece, i just don’t for myself…)Note…definitely get a sword. I had an unopened costume sword from back in high school when I bought it to use it in a film class. It works fine for this costume and is much better than the one pictured…glad this costume comes with a belt to go around the skirt (even though it has no real function as an actual belt) because I can stuff the sword in there instead of holding it all night.Overall a great purchase, well worth the $30.EDIT******I found the “helmet” (wrapped up and under the box), let me just say that it is god aweful. Honestly a very ugly piece of plastic that looks nothing like in the photo and i threw out immediately. Therefore, my review stays a 4/5 regardless that the product came with everything.

I purchased this item to wear to a costume party and ordered a size Large. I am 5″10 and 200 lbs in good shape. It fit perfect for my body type and I received numerous compliments all night about the outfit. This was of a better quality of material and workmanship than most costumes I have bought and worn in the past and can easily be worn multiple times. The cape is a great fit and comfortable. The skirt looks good and fit well, it initially had a a little bit of a flair at the bottom so I cut about a 4″ slit at the seam on both sides which seemed to take that out and gave it a better fit for me. This may be due to my body shape, I needed the large as my chest measurement is 46″ and my waist is 31″ so most my clothes have to be tailored anyway. The headpiece is not usable, I wore it for a few minutes but quickly took it off, it is hot and uncomfortable but the outfit looked great without it so no major issue for me.This outfit is revealing, when out on the dance floor so those who are super modest may want to consider wearing a pair of shorts under the skirt if that is an issue depending upon what type of party it is and the audience.

At $30+, this costume set is a tad pricey for what you get. Mine came with everything that was listed on this site: cape, skirt, wide “leather” belt, wrist guards, helmet, and medallion. The helmet was–as has been noted in other reviews–slightly mashed from being shipped in a bag, but there was no glue residue and the nosepiece could be bent back into shape. I didn’t wear it for the party I attended, but my daughter likes playing with it. I wore my own sandals and they fit the overall look well. The cape flows quite dramatically; probably my favorite part. I felt a bit like a proud warrior as it flared behind me when I moved. The skirt fit well too. Sheer, but it covered plenty of me and I paired it with some boxer briefs in a matching color. Simple and effective. The cape is only cut to expose your right arm and chest. I’m left-handed, so I just switched drinks to my right. The medallion kept it from slipping or bunching and the wide belt complimented the skirt and wrist guards well. Tie ’em tight and they’ll stay in place. If you want it a bit tighter/revealing, skip a size down; want a little more coverage? Go up a size. I thought it fit really well.Overall, a great costume. I had fun wearing it, it was comfortable, I was complimented on it many times, and it held up well. I’ll probably wear it again, and more than once. Again, the price was a little high, but worth it.

All items were good and looked nice. It was comfortable but the helmet is awkward. My husband wore it with a white shirt underneath and was complimented.

At $30 or so, it’s pretty decent for a costume party. The cape and loincloth are cool- and the other stuff is just ok. Doesn’t include sword, shield, or sandals fyi. XL fits well at 6’2, 210. I’d give it a B overall. (But if you have an actual 300 sword, shield or helmet, could be an A costume.)

Rest of the costume was awesome, but the wrist guards were wayyyy tooo snug. If you work out then you’ll likely not have a great time with them. They aren’t elastic at all and don’t stay put around my forearms. They also just make your forearms sweat.

Ordered an XL for my son who’s 6’3” and fit was perfect. We did have to cut slits in the arm cuffs to get them over his hands but that’s ok. HOWEVER as others have stated the helmet is not great. We ordered a DIFFERENT HELMET which worked perfectly.
